Rilakkuma Madness Collection

I have to to admit, I am infatuated with these Japanese characters! It started 3 years ago, 2007, I believe, when I went to Comic-Con with my boyfriend. We were browsing the floor when one particular item caught my eye. Yes, it was this stuffed Rilakkuma head plushie in the photo below, that I took.

Since then I couldn't help my self, but get excited when I would see anything Rilakkuma. I've always liked cute things so it's no surprise that I would like Rilakkuma also.

The name, Rilakkuma (Pronounced: Ree-la-coo-ma) translates to Relax Bear. I've heard that Rilakkuma is very popular in Japan, also among middle aged women. Something about him is relaxing. Maybe it's because he is lazing about and you feel like you should join in too. Also, Rilakkuma appeared rather quickly in one of the commercials for the 2010 Olympics.
