Drugstore Makeup

Yesterday, out of somewhat pure impulse, I went out to my local drugstore and bought $30 worth of makeup! >.< I'm always searching for makeup that's affordable and good quality.

I spent time researching about the products I bought today. I searched on Makeup Alley and I watched reviews of some of these products on Youtube.

I have medium oily/combination skin. I wanted products that would work best for my skin type.

Here's what I bought at Walgreens!

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in honey (~$9)
Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner in black (on SALE for $2.19! Originally $4)
Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer in beige (~$10)
Wet n Wild Coloricon Eyeliner in white (on SALE for 99ยข!)
Yes to Carrots C Me Blush Lip Tint in Sunset Pink and Ready Red (~$5 each)

Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner

Now, this is my first time using and purchasing a creme eyeliner. I've been using L'Oreal's wear infinite eyeshadow single in lush raven and I've been applying it using an eyeliner brush. I like using this eyeshadow as eyeliner, but then it would wear out throughout the day.

The Wet n Wild creme eyeliner is great! It didn't smudge, flake or wear off, which is good for oily eyelids like mine. It does what it says! There isn't anything bad I can think of to say about this product other than to have more sales (as well as for other products)! Hehe. It's great for a newbie like me. :]

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder

I don't use foundation. I do have one of L'Oreal's mineral foundation that comes with a kabuki brush. I liked it when I first applied it, but an hour or two later, my face became oily. I didn't like this! I might give it another try now since I have this powder to set the foundation.

Just the powder alone is pretty awesome! I likey! It definitely made my face look matte and it doesn't have a weird scent to it. One of Avon's pressed powder I have has a weird scent. D: I've had it on for more than 4 hours and I've only seen a couple spots on my face that are oily. Not bad. Not bad at all. I didn't use the applicator it came with, so I used my own brush from Essence of Beauty.

On the top, is Sunset Pink and the bottom is Ready Red. I've tried using a lip tint before, but I couldn't find the right color for my medium skin. :[ It always turns out weird. I really like the Sunset Pink on my lips. It gives my lips a little splash of color other than my natural lip color. The Ready Red is nice as well. It's a bit darker than the Sunset Pink. For me, I think it's a little too much to be wearing every day, so I would just use this in the evening's. They both have a minty scent to it and they moisturize your lips. I guess you can say it's similar to Burt's Bees from what I've read.

I've only tried these products for a day, so if there are any changes that I see, I'll be sure to blog about it.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! :3
