Its been awhile! School has been catching up with me, but I'm glad to say that mid-terms are offically over for me. :] I can't wait until spring break starts.
Any who, I thought that I'd release some stress by doing my nails. I don't often do my nails because lately, my nails have become brittle and they would chip if I hit them against a hard surface. I found a solution to this. I use the Hard as Hoof nail strengthening cream and it works well! I'm very satisfied with my nails because they don't chip anymore.
Now that I have workable nails, I decided to paint my nails today. I was inspired from BubzBeauty's strawberry nail tutorial and I also a few strawberry nail pictures online. Also, this will be my first time painting my nails other than a single color.
To make these strawberry nails, I used:
Wet n Wild's Wild Shine clear nail protector as a base coat - 1 coat
Confetti long wearing nail color in Last Dance (047) - 2 coats
Wet n Wild's Fast Dry nail color in Sage in the City (225C) - 1 coat, tip of nails
EzFlow's Lacquer Collection in Flicker Lacquer (42024) - 1-2 coats
NYC Top Coat - 1 coat
After each coat, wait 30 minutes for the nail polish to dry.
▪ Apply base coat. 1 coat.
▪ Apply the red nail polish. 2 coats.
▪ Apply the green nail polish on the tip of the nails. 1 or 2 coats depending if the color green is visible enough.
▪ Apply the white nail polish. If the brush is a bit big and wide, try using the edge and dab lightly. Take your time. Apply another coat if the white isn't showing up well.
▪ Lastly, apply the top coat.
Here is the result:
I'm very happy the way it turned out. After I was done painting with the red color, I was afraid to mess up, but I just worked slowly in order to not make a mistake. It would've probably looked nicer if I had longer nails to work with, but I don't think I can grow it out long because I don't like how lots of stuff gets underneath it.
Happy St. Patrick's day! Have a great week.Labels: Beauty
